Introducing Otis' award-winning After Dark frame in their latest lens technology. OTIS Reflect is the latest technology in mirror lenses, reflecting light instead of absorbing it. OTIS Reflect lenses have a double-hardened hydrophobic coating making them highly durable and resistant to everyday wear and tear scratches or abrasions. OTIS Reflect lenses have optimal clarity, are distortion free and more light-reflecting than normal tinted sunglasses.
Simple yet stout in stature, the After Dark features a refined square frame made from lightweight swiss grilamid to provide the ultimate comfort. After Dark has won SBIA Sunglass Of the Year Award three years in a row, and is a great frame for long beach days or adventures into the wilderness. It can easily compliment you on those days where you need to button up as well.
Mineral Glass is created from natural elements like sand and soda ash. It’s endlessly recyclable and harmless to humans and animals alike. It’s high resistance to scratching and lack of distortion make it the world’s best lens material. It really does have to be Mineral Glass.
Lens 'Base Curve' is a measure of the front curvature of the lens. The higher the number, the greater the curve. 6 base lenses are generally flatter across the front. 8 base lenses have a greater curve for a more 'wrapped' look.
OTIS frames are produced with high quality 3, 5 and 7 barrel hinges. These premium grade Vissottica brand hinges are extremely durable and boast 100% corrosion resistance.
High performance and low weight ratio. TR90’s high-performance property profile and processability makes it an ideal optical engineering plastic. The transparency, rigidity and impact strength of Grilamid compare favourably to other transparent polymers like polycarbonate. It is the lightest engineering plastic in existence, maximising wearer comfort.
OTIS sunglasses are constructed using the highest quality materials available. Each component is individually quality checked before being carefully packaged, ready for sale. OTIS sunglasses have warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the expected lifetime of the sunglasses. Damage to lenses, frames and other components due to normal wear and tear are not covered under warranty. Please refer to our Repairs page for all information regarding repairing your damaged sunglasses.
Mineral glass lenses are scratch resistant, optically correct and more sustainable than the plastic alternatives.
Otis frames use high-quality, Italian-designed Visottica hinges to keep things together, use after use after use.
Born on the rugged, surf-rich coast of Western Australia, salt and sunshine is part of Otis' DNA.
